There are some natural homemade cleanser recipes for all skin types, as you all know cleansers same as other beauty treatment should according to one’s skin type. (Knowing your skin type)
1 cup of warm water
½ cup of oatmeal
1 tbsp. of glycerin
Place all ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth and creamy. Place in a tight jar container and refrigerate.
Arrowroot cleansing jelly
2 tbsps. arrowroot or cornstarch
2 tbsps. of glycerin
½ cup of water
Mix together and stir until smooth, heat in a small pan placed in a water bath inside another pan. Heat until thick and clear, it will have the consistency of pudding.
Do not boil, let it cool completely. If too thick a little water can be added until you are okay with consistency.
½ cup plain yogurt
1 tbsps. Of sunflower or any light oil
1 ½ tsp. of fresh lemon juice
Mix together and store in a refrigerator.
Pour a small amount in your hand and use.
Fresh milk cleanser
½ cup aloe Vera gel
2 tbsps. Fresh milk
Mix together and store in the refrigerator. This cleanser is what empress Josephine, napoleon Bonaparte’s wife use to cleanse her skin for clean and soft glowing skin.
Rose water cleanser
1/4 aloe Vera gel
¼ cup of honey
¼ rose water
Mix well and pour in a clean container to use.
Olive oil cleansing lotion
½ cup of olive oil
2 tbsps. Of glycerin
2 tbsps. of water
1 tsp. of liquid soap
Mix together in a blender until smooth, and then pour in a jar with a tightfitting lid.
½ cup equivalent to 8 tbsps. And ¼ is to 4 tbsps.
Cleansers should rinse off with tepid water then follow by splashes of cold/freezing water to seal pores.
All traces of make should be removed before using cleanser.
Double cleansing i.e. cleansing the skin twice instead of once is beneficial, first cleanse remove dirt and dead cells, while second cleanse cleanses the pores well.
Cleanse your face twice daily morning and night.
Moisturize after cleansing with lotion, oil or cream suitable for skin type.
Make sure hands are clean before using cleanser, so as not to be transferring dirt back in to your skin.
